Google Tag Manager audit and implementation
Have purchases stopped being recorded, or are duplicate events appearing? We review Google Tag Manager, your site's integrations and the data flow to find the cause and define a correction.
An initial 30-minute conversation to understand your situation and define the scope.
Signs your tags need a review
Tags can keep sending information even when part of the measurement is incorrect. These situations help guide the review.
One promotion click generates two events and distorts performance reporting.
Tags from a previous installation coexist with current ones, with no clarity on which account receives each data point.
A cart event is sent again while browsing, even though no one has added another product.
Events are missing after site changes are published, and there is no record of the tests performed.
How we work
First, we identify what each tag measures and reproduce the issue. Then we agree on the corrections and tests needed.
Inventory
We identify tags, triggers and variables, their purpose and who owns them. We also review integrations within scope that operate outside Google Tag Manager.
Reproduce the issue
We coordinate a test purchase or inquiry and follow events in Tag Assistant and DebugView, using network requests for additional evidence when needed.
Corrections based on the cause
We determine whether the adjustment belongs in Google Tag Manager, the site code or the source data. Implementation is agreed based on the diagnosis.
Change control
We define owners, permissions, tests and a version history. Your team can then review what was published and roll back if a change fails.
What the work covers
We agree on scope and responsibilities before starting, so you know what you will receive and what needs an additional proposal.

Questions about the service
Do you need publish permission in Google Tag Manager?
We start the inventory with read access. If a test requires other permissions, we coordinate it with the container administrator. Publishing changes is part of an agreed implementation and requires your approval.
An agency manages our container. Can you coordinate with them?
Yes. Documentation and tests are prepared for the people managing your measurement, including your agency. We agree on responsibilities to avoid overlapping changes.
Tell us what stopped being tracked or is being counted twice
In a 30-minute conversation, we review the context: what changed, when it started and which data you need to recover or understand.
